    The SHITTIEST tires ever...

Falken Ziex's have to be the worst tires ever made. So im coming home and all of a sudden my fucking tire explodes on the freeway. I pull over to the side and change to my spare and i look at my blown tire to see why it exploded. It had no nails or holes in the tread, just a ripped sidewall. I didnt hit anything on the freeway and I definately didnt over inflate it bc i check almost ever week. It was used for only a couple months so it was still pretty new and still had a lot of tread. WTF. anyway I dont recommend these to anyone and Im definately never getting them again. Any ideas on a new tire??

Kumho 711 or 712's are by far worse tires.

I had some Kumho 711's on my old Civic and man that thing handled like shit in the rain. I've had Ziex's before I thought they were pretty decent.

Cheap is cheap, you get what you pay for. I had some Seiberlings that did the same thing with my kids in the car at 70 MPH through the Siskiyous. I bought some Pirellis as soon as I got home.

I've been running on a set of these in 225/50-15s for over a year and a half now and have no complaints. It is a good all-around tire for DD usage and respectable in the wet too. Would I run them on a track day? No effing way....give me some Azenis Sports or RT615s for that duty. IMHO the Ziex 512s have been good enough that I purchased a second slightly used set (< 2.5K miles) in the same size for $100 from a friend. They will go on the car just as soon as my current set is toast.

                  I recommend them.

Yes they are... Kumho got smart and their cutting the 711 from production and the 712 will soon follow.

Ever heard of Visa's or Nangkang's, there in the same boat probably made in China, built as good as their cars..

                      It's probably a factory defect.

You got 1 bad tire out of thousands, nothing can be perfect. I've heard the same thing happening to every different tire made, wierd shit can happen on the road.
I've been running ziex 512's for about a year and since all I've ever driven on were all seasons, they are the best tire I've run yet. Must give a definate + on wet weather though, no more ass clinching when its raining.

Kumho's newer line as well as the Hankooks are much better than their first few tires out.

You are all terrible and wrong. Falkien Ziex is probably the worst imaginable tire i've ever had. Horrible wet traction (cause of my accident), horrible dry traction (its been proven they lose grip as they warm up, sweet.)

All in all a horrible horrible shitty tire.

I'm afraid you suck at driving. And bald tires can be pretty big factors in wrecking too.

Great tires, if only they lasted longer.

Kruzen doesn't seem to know what he's talking about, these tires are known to have more lateral grip, Mystikal claims more than his current RS-2s. Yes they have soft sidewalls, but they still have great grip.

If you did have 225s, they do hyroplane i've heard pretty easy when they get about half life, but i've had 205s and haven't had a problem.
