Brutal strength of a straight-cut dog-shift 4-speed, limitless choice of ratios, availability of competition-strength components, pressure lube system, less time spent shifting (with a turbo LS do you really need more than 1 gear?), etc., etc., etc.

He is approaching this build using a competition-spec driveline. I really respect that. Plus, I love the scream of straight-cut gears!

Needless to say, we have been BURIED in work at the shop, and haven't had much time to work on the E28. I am also trying to get the E30 done for race season, so time is extremely limited.

We pulled the motor back out of the car, swapped cam, pushrods, and a few bits. Headers are making some progress as well, and we also are working on final welding the new firewall and trans tunnel. Initially was going to do a twin turbo setup, but have decided on V-Banded headers, and a single 80mm turbo. So, disregard the T4 collector ;).
