He says he replaced the block at 285k miles. The transmission is original.
You can't expect him to be an expert in computers if he bought the car when he was 40 and 35 years ago.Leave a comment:

The better question is, what E30 odometer would work for 600k miles, or how many times would it be repaired in such a distance? Either way, one pic frequently means it's not a legitimate ad.Leave a comment:

Yeah, that's the whole ad, except where he wants $5k for it. Strange because it looks pretty decent in that one picture, I wonder how worn out a 600k mile car really is.Leave a comment:

615,000-mile E30
A 615,000 automatic E30 appeared for sale on FB in Maryland.
It's the highest mileage E30 that I've seen for sale.
It seems that the E engine and automatic transmission are pretty reliable.
I am the original owner of this 1986 BMW325E. I have maintained (dealer and local BMW repair shop) this vehicle for over 35 years and garage kept. This vehicle has over 615K miles, runs good, body is good shape ( couple rust spots), new wheels and tires, interior is very good, some wear on driver seat, automatic transmission ( original) but the underneath is rusting. This car would make a great donor car or for someone who can take the time to part out, as I have no inclination to do so!
