they haven't answered any emails or phone calls. they just took my money and fucked off. i'm gonna register a complaint at their local BBB. i see there's tons of angry complaints about them there. if it continues i'll try see how else i can harass the pricks. i just lost my job so i have the time. -
I’ve been fighting for a core refund for over a month. Fuck em.
I used to try and stand up for them.Leave a comment:

Bought an e36 replacement rack years ago, 0 issues and worked good. Even sent back old one for lifetime or whatever it was at the time. Fast forward to 2019 and bought standard e30 rack from them. Leaked out of the box, said it was my fault essentially and get lost. Thankfully have good friends locally and put in a good used one. Seems like the business/volume over the years got to him. Or just pissed at the world

I used car-part.com. It’s a service to pull parts from wrecking yards like LKQ. Searched the model and had them verify the serial number and send photos. I was looking for a yellow tag e46 rack. Two were in Topeka. I asked for the lower mile rack. Shipped to the local LKQ for no charge. Picked up the next day. First one I put in had a hairline fracture in the body. Returned and exchanged with no questions asked. Worked well for me. I think I paid $125 for my yellow tag rack.Leave a comment:

I have seen complaints about rack doctor on a few different BMW sites. It is too bad because I had good luck with them years ago when I installed a gold label e46 rack into my e36 m3. The only negative is that they would only give half core credit on the e36 rack.
I ended up keeping that rack & am now attempting to rebuild it myself, the seal kits are only $40 to $50. I have a green label 95 m3 rack that makes things a little difficult because none of the rebuild kits say they work. So far it looks like all the seals in the 96+ kit match up. My adjustment screw is seized into the rack so I have not been able to get the inner rack seal out yet.
When I finish it up I will post some pictures of the rebuild.Leave a comment:

They have had that message since May, I think... Apparently they are only processing returns on a monthly basis. I returned a rack, they said they had it, but they only have someone come in "once a month" to handle returns but couldn't tell me when that person was coming in. I don't have a lot of faith that I'm going to get a return directly from rack doctor.still not a word from rack doctor. i'm leaning to the i've been scammed category now
edit : there phone connected which is encouraging. it did not on a previous try. only got a recorded message but at least it was an improvement. the message relayed they are behind for sure but at least working on it.Leave a comment:

Also had a bad experience with Rack Doctor, had to file a claim with paypal to get refunded. Same story in August about moving and needing more time, then no contact whatsoever for a month, calling , emailing, crickets. I used them before for another car with great success about six years ago so felt no need to check reviews, I thought they were a good company. Now I hear nothing but negative, sounds like they are just trying to rob people.
My advise would be to stay far away from them
so far i'm getting no communication from them. they've already got my cash. i'm finding the same thing. great reviews until recent then a definite stay away. i just wish i had heard the bad before. there were a few on this board that recommended them, and i went with that.Leave a comment:

These days with almost everything on backorder, everyone needs to be cautious before sending payment.
Most retailers are having serious issues getting stock with no end to this delay in sight.Leave a comment:

i ordered a z3 rack. i'm upgrading from the e30 rack. i'm ok with a wait, i can give them loads of time. i just need to know if they acknowledge the order and can fill it
edit : toss me a text sometime. i'm working on the car the next couple days.

Why not have it shipped to Vancouver for a rebuild?
That's what was suggested to me when I lived in Regina and needed my ujoints replaced on my DS.Leave a comment:

it's understandable if they don't have stock to reman. not so much that they aren't communicating that if it is the facts. i got no issue extending patience, i just ask to know the situation.
