    Self Leveling Suspension

I just had to post this. My most recent Touring (1991 320i) has something on it that I didn't even know existed: Self Leveling Suspension!

It has rear shock absorbers that are connected hydraulically with a sensor and a two stage power steering/ suspension pump. The sensor is connected to the rear sway bar and tells the system if it is set at the correct height. If it is too low, it raises it. If it is too high, it lowers it.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Click image for larger version

It was very common in E34s, my wagon luckily doesn't have it. Not as common in E30s but I have seen it before on a wagon.

Yep, I posted about this years ago, strangely also installed on a 320i I had. Cool to see another one.
