Less rust is best. I just look at the hours that it takes to get a car back to "normal". Travel time and extra cost can definally be worth it.

Probably would have to build some sort of jig, or weld in cross-supports before cutting out the towers?
I've never done shock towers before, but always into learning.
Definitely considering it. I've never owned a V8. 😅

Agreed that it's an easier time with less rust. Although I increasingly enjoy metal fab/repair the more I do it.
Wasn't even upset when I found my E28 floors like this under the carpet. Looking forward to repairing them in the springtime. 🙂
