Right back at you big guy. We are blessed to live in a small town with a large group of E30 lovers, who all happen to post on this website.

When i was pulling out of the dealership in my e30 another one was pulling in. I waved, and the dude threw up a very excited thumbs up. It was fantastic.

I see quite a few still on the roads as I am always keeping an eye out. Lots of coupes and fewer verts.

I dont get high beams or a nod or any women waving their braziers at me.

I tried the high beam deal and got the look of death. So no more of that. I also drive an off road outfitted Jeep Wrangler and the "Jeep Wave" is much more regularly seen. I get the wave from almost every Jeep I see.

Haha, you should have seen the dump truck driver who tried to kick my ass today. The E30 changed his attitude... or something.. I guess.

I rarely wave or comment unless the car looks like somebody cares. Then I'll just try to make eye contact and smile or wink or something. More often than not people will come up to me at a gas station or something to chat. I'll always return a wave or flash though.

In Tucson all of the e30s are convertibles and driven by women and old men or clapped out automatic etas. It took me months to find a 5 speed coupe here. I have maybe met 3 or 4 enthusiasts since I bought this car almost two years ago and they weren't even e30 drivers. I do occasionally get asked by car poseurs if my car is an m3.

I've had a few people follow me someone and then ask me if I want to sell.

I know 2 other e30 enthusiasts, both m3 owners. Most e30s around here are rust buckets and beaters. Only one e30 (non M) I've seen around here other than mine and my dad's that's owned by an enthusiast clearly I've seen twice going the opposite direction, a DS late model. There's also a red M3 that I've seen twice in my neighborhood, one time, we were going opposite directions late at night on a short street, when we passed, we both stopped and turned around. I need to find that guy.

The best response I've seen was out of an e21, I saw him going the same direction as I was, I gave him the thumbs up. He shook his head, pointed at my e30 and gave thumbs up. Was a cool dude.
