Ah, bingo. Mine has that and I never noticed it until now. Thanks Ryan. -
Originally posted by nandomaybe that's the difference, my car doesn't have that pad in the wheel well, and I'm assuming the M3 doesn't either.Originally posted by Ryan StewartAs for fitament in the spare well it could happen. There is a thick pad in the bottom of the spare well that is as thick as the slab that is on the trunk floor on 6-bangers. If you removed the pad in the well and left the trunk floor pad in I dont see why you cant fit them in there (might push up on the carpet a bit).
You're correct, Its not in the M3 either. When I stick one of my double spoke II's in with 235/40/17s, it sticks up some above the floor though.

do l00 have the trunk pad y0??11??
Translation: Do M3's have the slab of tar in the trunk that the 6-bangers came with? If not then that might be one reason. I just cant see a 7.5" really pushin up the carpet because my 6" wide with oversized tires has a LOT of room even with the pad removed.Im now E30less.
