If you can find one in the price range, they're great! And the Turbo Diesel is BULLET PROOF! Mine even has a third seat which makes it almost as useful as a Minivan. Mine has 233,000 miles on it and still strong!

Here's my newest project. Paid $1500 for it. Sunroof works great and it doesn't need much, mainly suspension which I planned on doing anyway and an o2 sensor. Early M50 car, and I have all the 5 speed stuff to swap it right now (thanks Jack!) Eventually I'll do an S50/52; Jack's built S50 touring kept up with my M5 from 10-100ish on the freeway and is a blast to drive.

I was in the same dilemna and it came down to either an E34 sedan or E36 sedan. The E36 won because of 1) folding rear seats which is a huge bonus for hauling bulky items, 2) Huge aftermarket / performance parts support, and 3) Availability of side air bags during 1998 MYs as well as lower mileage / younger examples than the E34.

E34 wagon or Volvo 240 wagon. Maybe one of those older Subaru Wagons were they the outbacks? The late 90s early 2000 ones.

they are roomier inside. it's hard to get into the back of an E30 4 door. I can do it but getting my feet past the door post is nearly impossible.

I can have the baby seat in the eta, but Julie isnt very comfy back there. Its tight for a person in the back seat whos sitting for a while. Plus taking the stroller in and out and all the babys shit is a PITA.

They're real and they're mine. The wheels that came on the car were 15" chrome weaves. :)
