Front side is welded but the backside where the plate meets the metal tubing it is not welded. Production model will be welded all the way around where it meets? -
the silver brackets come with the hella 500's and they will not be welded because then it makes it so you can't run any other light other than the Hella 500's.Leave a comment:

I was thinking more for vibration. I had a high-beam come a bit loose, and on the freeway it would turn into a strobe light with the smallest vibration - that's all.Last edited by george graves; 10-27-2009, 04:14 PM.Leave a comment:

Nice. On the one you posted you didn't do this it doesn't look like but will you weld the bracket to the light tube on both sides?Leave a comment:

no, but I grabbed it and tried shaking it around and its very strong and sturdy.
I ordered the metal online just now so I can get everything perfect, places like home depot don't have the right sizes or gauges of the metal I need. It should be at my house by next week, I'll get a final version, have all the cuts, holes, and welds be as perfect as I can make them, I'll paint it up, show it off and go into production.Leave a comment:

the bar would hold that just fine, its not going to flex or bend, but i don't know how well the bumper would hold that weight, I would think it would hold it fine but I can't be 100% sure.Leave a comment:

Don't need a price just a ballpark.
Also, those Hellas look like they're on the shallow/light side. If I'd want to run some KC daylighters or something (about 5lbs apiece) is it going to hold up?Last edited by Wh33lhop; 10-27-2009, 09:50 AM.Leave a comment:

Hmmm, that actually looks pretty good. I think the lights would look really good below the bumper too, but I don't know how the light dispersion would be that low. Pending price, I'm down for one :)Leave a comment:

So just running bolts through the front plate supports holds them nice and sturdy?Leave a comment:
