When Im in other states, I always follow that law.

I hate how people wait till the car in front of them is like 20ft away before they start moving at a red light too. If everyone just started moving steadly when the light turned green you can get so many more cars though an intersection. I hate people SO much
Yep! I always yield to the person behind me no matter what speed I'm going. It's not my problem that someone wants to speed, that's their choice and it's 1 in a million chance that someone wanting to go 10 or 15mph faster than me is going to put any ones life in danger, that's their prerogative if they want a speeding ticket. At least most speeders are paying attention to their surroundings unlike the people "camping" in left lanes or those that fail to merge right after passing.

By reducing the affect someone has on other drivers the safer and less chaotic the roads will be.

Thats not the most retarded reason, I once got pulled over for "downshifting to slow down" he said he couldnt see my brake lights right away and thats why it was illegal.

lol! I've actually heard of people getting pulled over for brake lights being out because they were downshifting instead. I always heel-toe so it's never an issue and I prefer people knowing I'm slowing down or coming to a stop anyways. Seems logical, over 250k miles of "city" driving and I've been rear ended once only because the 2nd car behind me wasn't paying attention causing the domino effect. I was already on the gas once I heard the squeal of the tires but it was too late...I watched the dude in my rear view mirror smash his face into his steering wheel as he hit the car behind me. Me jumping on the gas prevented any damage to my car other than a couple license plate indention's in my rear bumper. That was 10 years ago and I've since learned how to anticipate situations like that to prevent it.

If it's an emergency stop I always flash my brakes several times before getting on them hard. Trail braking usually indicates I'm coming to an abrupt stop too lol!

Just out of curiosity, in heavy rains do you drive with your hazards on?

The left lane is not a campground.

Except I was in a 30mph zone coming up to a stop light, (Should have been obvious I was slowing down) and i just shifted from 4th to 3rd before starting to brake. Luckily i didnt have an insurance card with me so he gave me a ticket for that and a warning for the downshifting. Then went to the courthouse with the insurance card and everything was gone.

If you were passing then this doesn't make sense. People just like to give shit online... I don't see how you were at fault. haha.

Thank you! Just making sure! Other than attempting to pull over for an emergency the ONLY time hazards are to be used while moving is if the rear lights are not operating correctly.

I can't stand it when people drive with hazards on in the rain. That's what euro rear fogs are for. Hazards are only if your car is a hazard, the rain is the hazards not the car lol! On some vehicles the turn signals aren't visible if the hazards are on. Maybe that's because cars aren't supposed to be driven while they are on...hrmm.
