It's a shame, really, they made a damn good wheel. I always wanted a set of FM5's on my old Grand National.

as much as i agree, when you don't have 1K to spend per wheel, you ARE going to either look elsewhere or go without until you can afford it. no matter how nice of a product you make, if people do not have the money to spend on your product, you can't pay your bills to keep the doors open.seien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen

Actually, Fikse's problem isn't so much price as poor management. They've just flat out incurred far too much overhead. I mean, hell, they had nearly $300k in orders on the books when they went under. While it's true that race teams aren't ordering as many wheels as they were, they were still ordering quite a lot.
It's a damned shame, but it was a long time coming. The nice thing about Fikses is that many other custom wheel companies are gearing up to support Fikse owners with parts and other services. ...I guess they figure that it's worth courting people who are willing to drop $4k+ on a set of wheels for some reason.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

Just a little public service announcement....
Look at how and where the products you are buying are made. If you want to have good companies that make quality products to survive, then you have to support them. It's getting to the point where the consumer is left with fewer products every year that aren't made to shitty standards in China.
the total absence of anything quality is disturbing if you care at all about the future of these cars, or lack thereof.
