time to resurrect this thread, as more stupid shit was found....

The ignition switch mounting ears were broken off, so he DUCT TAPED the switch in place, and hack sawed off the ears on the upper column trim so it would fit. The saga continues....

Fiberglass and Bondo'd over damage instead of fixing. Then dropped money to have it painted.

In a 318is i bought the PO had installed a very large GM radiator. they cut the lower mounts used speaker wire to hold it in place and blocked off all the heater lines. The car ran great. But I could not live with it that way so I fixed it all.

PO did the remarkable and very creative solutions to the following:

1. Removed the heater valve. So...no heat. Replaced the blower motor though????
2. Destroyed the IS early valance. Held on with tape. At least its black tape on a black car.
3. Never replaced fuel filter, or any gaskets that I can tell. But swore there was a new timing belt.
4. Shift knob off a e39. Doesn't fit.
5. Replaced dampers with Bilstein HD. Not sporties. Stock springs. So...no drop.
6. Radio antenna busted. So no radio

I guess overall I dont have much to bitch about, but ..... eh. Some things are just stupid.

The PO of my car is on the forum so I should be nice (maybe it was the PO before the PO). But when I got the car it had 2 different alarm systems with shitty spliced wires that didnt work, a remote start that didnt work, Rockford fosgate everything (speakers, headunit, amp, and sub) that were all blown, and the brake caliper didn't have a bolt in it which I found out when I was driving the car home down 95.
