I've always found the sport seats to be very comfortable, but it probably depends on how your body is built. I was fine driving down to Ken's house and back in one day, just exhausted. (took about 7.5 hours speeding like a bat out of hell, 565 miles round trip).
Long drives=sore back?

I don't have a sport seat I have a Recaro SE like pictured.
I was just wondering if it had anything to do with the leg room or something. I drive with my left arm on the top of the door against the window and my right on my leg or shifter. I don't lean.
Also I keep my wallet in my front pocket. Maybe its just related to riding a small bike.
Sold it.Comment

Really? I think my e36 sport seats are way more comfortable than my old e30 ones.Originally posted by DSchultz325eMy gf's E36 seats, on the other hand, blow. My ass starts hurting after about 20 minutes.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

Yeah I find my sports uncomfortable too. My lower back gets soar and stiff after 2+ hour trips... Then again I hate sitting for that long anyway. My chick hates long tips in this car too for the same reason... I use my car 98% of the time for short 1/2 hour or less trips so it's not a daily problem.

Done one 1900 mile trip from L.A. and 5 1400 mile round trips to Laredo (700 day one 700 day two) and the seats are perfect only issue is right knee gets a little sore.

i never had a problem with the e30 sport seats, loved them in my m3 and i did some 1500 mile trips, and constant traveling in the summers. The seats in my e36 made my back a bit sore on a few really long road trips last summer, even after some adjustments. But, for around town, i think the e36 seats are way more comfortable. I'm 6'4" 255 so the bigger seats in the e36 help quite a bit for fitment.... i SQUEEZE into the srd's in the e30. But the cloth SRD's are the most comfortable/supportive seats i've ever driven in when you're really goin after it, love em..... i've been told to stretch out your hip flexor before a really long road trip, it takes the tension off your back and you won't have as much discomfort while driving.....PNW Crew

Regardless of thickness, one of the leading causes of back pain in men is caused by sitting on your wallet for long periods of time.Originally posted by kencopperwheatWhatta you guys all have Costanza wallets or what? I almost always take mine out when driving, unless I'm going down to the store or something.Comment

When driving for a long distance the seat should be leaned front at least on the sport seat
normal seats are designed just like that with the front part of the seat tilted low
I have sat in regular seats for very extendec times and never ever felt anypain or discomfort
with my sports I have had a small problem if I have not adjusted the seat correctlyGunni
