Wow what an awesome race! After the pit stops I was like, oh great, another race where the only passing is done by tire guys. But man what a duel between Hamilton and Button!

Wtf was Seb thinking!? Be a damn professional. Even if your teammate speared your car, you're doing a job. Park your car, shut the hell up and walk away. Keep the childish drama for when you're alone in your room. I liked what Eddie said - yeah technically it was Seb's fault but Webber should have moved. What's better, to be righteous and be 3rd (or possibly DNF with damage), or yield to the insanity and take 2nd (or possibly retake later)?

Agreed, I just hope it is over and we don't see something like when Jarno crashed in Brazil last year and kept trying to prove he was in the right all the way until the next race. Montreal, then a boring race, then the classic tracks are on the horizon as things heat up this season, can't wait.
EDIT: After looking at what the team has said after the race it seems like it was pretty clear what was supposed to happen in that situation and they are more pissed at Webber than Vettel, might explain why Webber looked the way he did after the race and has been pretty quiet instead of his usual self.

        From the F1 homepage:

Q: Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said he didn’t believe it was Vettel’s fault. Is this the official opinion of the team?
HM: Well, in the situation Sebastian was in, he had no other choice than to act the way he did.
Q: That suggests that one of the two should have given way to the other…
        HM: Yes.

Q: And you will discuss with them who that should have been …
        HM: Yes.

Q: Is it true that the team gave instructions to Mark Webber’s race engineer to let Sebastian Vettel pass because otherwise Lewis (Hamilton)would be able to overtake?
HM: That is not correct, because that would mean a team order. We informed Mark about the situation and it is for the driver to decide. The fact is that if Sebastian hadn’t passed he would have been overtaken by Hamilton.

The team sounds as if its fully behind Vettel which is why Vettel was motioning Weber was crazy as soon as he got out of the car. This will only fuel the rumors Weber will not be back with RBR next year.

Yeah, the more I hear the more it seems like Webber was told not to challenge Vettel if Vettel did get a run on him. The team wanted to guarantee the win it seems by letting Vettel take the lead as he was running faster. This could be a bigger deal than just a pass gone wrong.

Helmut Marko said the drivers need to give each other room (and they just about did), and that Vettel needed to get past Webber so that Hamilton didn't overtake him, but if Vettel overtook Webber then the same situation arises and then he'd be saying Webber needed to overtake Vettel otherwise Hamilton would overtake Webber...

Neither have apologised and I can agree with that, if you ignore the fact that they're team mates it would be called a racing incident. So I'd tend to side with Christian Horner, saying neither is totally to blame, and neither is blameless. Yes Webber squeezed him, and yes Vettel appears to have moved right too early...

I agree with this completely except for the first part because the reasoning was that Vettel could run a little deeper at full race pace because he had saved gas behind Hamilton. So the way they looked at it apparently, especially before knowing that McLaren was in fuel conserve mode as well was that Vettel could gap the aussie-train and hopefully guarantee the win and hope for a 1-2 finish.

I think Vettel couldn't see where Webber was, and knowing that it was his teammate assumed that the space was there and began to move back into the race line. People on a lot of the blogs are making it out like Vettel turned into Webber trying to intemidate him. Red Bull Racing is saying they don't expect Montreal to be a good track for them, so I am devastated that such a big chance has past them up and they may not be able to spring back well in Canada.

Oh boy what a race. I also like Petrov's pace, I think he is doing well for his first year in f1 compared to many other noobs.

I was watching BBC feed and didn't see anything about Button's umbrella girl wtf?

Lewis can suck it, I also laughed when he was thanking his team when just at the last? race he was bitching on the radio.

I think they only sold 35k tickets. More tickets are sold to every home Cardinals game. 81 times a year.

That's one of the reasons Turkey will probably not be on the calendar next year. Sad that Tilke's best track is also the one that will be the first to go of his, only to be replaced with another of his tracks I am sure.
