Rob the eta LIES to you. It makes you think it gets up and goes but it really just shakes you a bit and then fizzles. I drove one for 4 years, I know.

      318is > 325es
      325is > 318is
      However I want a 318is without a sunroof.
      And s50 > m20
      Im now E30less.

personally i like the m42s. ive always been a fan of 4 cylinder cars, so that why i chose the 318.

just make sure you get what YOU want, not what some bmw-net-geeks influence you to get.
Yea but your opinion doesn't count, you live upside down anyway.

so, now weve gone from trying to decide between a 318 and a 325, to building a boosted s50?

You guys are so funny, i remember a last year one of the members here posted up a vid of a tuned M20 with a super duper chip, and i could not stop laughing it was so god damn sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.

And for some reason the 318is cars seem to rust less.

There are many tuning options for a M42 here in Europe, and i intend to bolt a charger onto mines, im aiming for 200bhp/lbft.

                      I would much rather have a 318is over a M20 any day.

meh.. I drive an all wheel drive automatic, what the hell do i know about performance. The only way to get it to haul any size ass is to try to trick it into not shifting at 4000rpm

That was Robert. His car wasn't running right, he fixed it by swapping the AFM.

Fixing an M42's lack of power is a bit harder.

I wasn't sure if that was me or not. But a four banger is a four banger. A six is a six. There's no replacement.
