I really dont know what to say, i could have the car timed to 60mph? Or if you pay for shipping ill bring my car to the states and show you up in front of all your 6 cylinder frineds?

(my M42 in now on 191k miles)

It'd be interesting to see what you've done. ;)

I thought keeping up with a 325 meant using ltw flywheels and higher final drive ratios.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

No, i dont know if you guys got a 'weaker' M42, but i have two, one stock which can outrun a 320i easy, then it can also keep up level with a 325i touring which the day before out accelerated a 325i sport!

Then i have the red one which has had a few mods, polished and matched inlet, bored out throttle body, electric fan, Chip and NKG special plugs, i use very good oil which helps keep the engine cool and reduce friction.

Thats it, and i dont have any bother in over taking 325is, the only one i had a bother with was a early compression 325i which was put on the rollers produced higher than stock.

Just to add i found that having a lower final drive (3.91) made the car faster as i could keep in gear for another 500rpm!
