Install alternator coil windings in the middle of a turbo, and design the turbo in a way that the internals are always spinning at about engine speed at the minimum (With a lot of computer engineering involved to control the voltage/amprerage output at higher ends) Have it water cooled (E65 style) and voila... no need for an alternator... Just a really expensive turbonater... but the name was already taken :( haha1991 318i SOLD

The millenia was a 5 stroke engine, some strange deal where they incorporated the supercharger into a 5th stroke. I don't remember the science behind it, never thought it worth mentioning since it was such a piece of shit. Not arguing, just supporting. No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.Comment

The miller cycle engine is a added efficiency supercharger. Nothing bad about it, wait until you have a supercharged engine and see how much gas it sucks.
However even in theory it is not as efficient as a turbocharger.
Mazda themselves uses essentially the same engine in their mazdaspeed 3 but just using turbocharging.
I think over the years mazda has made some money putting stuff out there that apeals to engine nerds. No offense to anyone.

The mx-6 with 4-wheel steering was cool. I'm surprised that tech hasn't go into more cars.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment
