FWIW my guess is on a hot cam with tons of valve overlap. More flow between intake exhaust = higher velocity exhaust gasses = faster turbo = more boost = infinity power!!!

The miller cycle engine is a added efficiency supercharger. Nothing bad about it, wait until you have a supercharged engine and see how much gas it sucks.
However even in theory it is not as efficient as a turbocharger.
Mazda themselves uses essentially the same engine in their mazdaspeed 3 but just using turbocharging.
I think over the years mazda has made some money putting stuff out there that apeals to engine nerds. No offense to anyone.
