that thought process was totally absent from my mind. I'm just thinking that if it is indeed a new turbo design, why would bmw NOT want to make it?
I'd rock a BMW labeled turbo on my m20:P

made it through the first couple posts---

                is there a prototype yet?

if not, its still just an idea.

UTI is a great school if working on cars is too physically demanding for you. Cuz if you want to work on cars you work at a shop. If you want to waste a few years then not be employed at a shop UTI is great! Then after working as a porter at the dealer for 2 years you get so fed up with the car biz you go work at radio shack. Voila, you never had to get a spec of dirt under your fingernails, mission accomplished :)

                          great find yosh.

I suggest taking a few thermodynamic courses at ODU or something. You'll learn a lot about turbines, heat pumps, etc, to further develop your ideas into a possible prototype

                            Haha this thread is awesome.
UTI grad as well. wasted a year of my time, then took the ford program, learned some cool shit, took the Benz programmed, and actually learned tons of shit. LAN CAN and fiber optic networking mostly, lots of good diesel too. now im working in a restoration/ vintage repair shop on old americans, and alot of e30s, an e24, aweful baby blue e23, and 2 e21 at the moment, plus a bunch of volvos and mercs. w123s w124s mostly.

did UTI get me that job? no. i didnt even tell them i went to UTI. just MB training and showed them i wasn't an idiot.

and mossman, finally got that IX back together with the internals of that engine i got off you but theres some sketchy buisness with the title i was given.. shitty

its a simple head code, anyone can catch it.
