Ha! Thanks! - There are kits you can buy, but they don't have the range this has. If you want something like this - you have to pay +$200-400 or build your own.
and.....made it on hack-a-day again. Apparently I'm putting out some good stuff.
[George] built an incredibly tidy resistor substitution decade box. These devices feature a pair of connections and a way to select the resistance between the two of them. In [George’s] case …
You can see all the details of the build on my new (non-BMW stuff blog): http://www.digitalunderpants.com/

I have a Mikita for junkyards. I use air tools in garage or normal hand tools. Craftsman hand tools with exception of some of their professional line is no longer made in the USA.
Tool companies are having a hard time with trade imbalance with China much like all other manufacturer's out there.Comment

I tend to agree. My view of "universal" or "multi" tools is that while they are able to do a lot of things, they don't do each of those things equally as well as one tool made specifically for the job. Those wrenches seem to grip a VERY small portion of the head of a bolt in comparison to a 6-point or even a 12-point regular wrench, meaning you are more likely to strip a bolt head.
On top of that, I hate how HUGE the open end of the wrench is on those. I don't know why they made then so big when their regular wrenches aren't that massive.Comment

Who the hell tries to break a bolt loose with a 12pt racheting wrench?
Racheting wrenches are awesome, i just wish I had some bigger than 15mm.
Flex head would be nice too, but I'm no baller.Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30Comment

I've owned a set of Gear Ratchet brand wrenches for ~5 years now and have literally hit them with a hammer to break a bolt loose with no damage to the wrench.
And my post was a general comment about ALL Craftsman Universal wrenches, not just the ratcheting one. The argument was about the fact they are "universal" not that they are ratcheting.
A bit of a note too, the craftsman ones are made in China.

I have a LOT of things that are craftsman...power tools, hand tools, wood working tools, etc... nothing has failed me yet. The 19.2 V impact wrench is pretty handy, it works like a champ!Comment
