wasn't looking for ellipsoids. I was looking for smileys, brand new ellipsoids are still available new from hella. Hopefully I'm not getting the terms wrong but yeah, looking for non-smoked smileys new or next to new.

I also have a bronzit fender but it has that black bar painted at the bottom, if you have a bronzit fender that is painted all the way to the bottom I would definitely be interested. Thanks! :p

The kit that comes stock from Hella for the smoked smileys, it only has the regular bulbs right? I need to buy an HID kit with the ballast and all that shit?

And they're ALL type H1 bulbs correct? (just making sure so when I get the HID kit I don't mess it up)

again, not looking for smoked smileys, just regular hella smileys. But I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna get ellipsoids again so I can keep my HID kit I already have in there.

Damn, that sucks! At least it was the bad fender! All euro smiley low beams are H1s while the old US projectors I put in there are 9006 bulbs. I have a set of knock off smilies on my current E30 and I'm pleased with the quality, Good luck with the rebuild.

yeah, I'm feeling cursed at the moment. I have yet to make it out to a r3v cruise (steering, broken subframe, now this) I'll be pissed if I miss this car show. That'll be like going in reverse, at least last year I was able to drive the car to the show.

hey guys, a little update. got into it to move it from one drive way to the other to replace the fender and headlight and I think my steering rack crapped out too.

I don't have power steering and I'm used to the heaviness of the wheel when I'm moving slow. Now it feels like I have power steering but I know I don't, and it swings back and forth a little crazy. Does this mean that the teeth in the steering rack gears crumbled or something? Is there any way to open the rack to see if the gears are ruined?

oh and I bought the flex disk for (steering coupler) because I thought that was the problem originally but now I think I need a completely new rack.

I've been reading up and it seems this could be my last resort before seriously considering changing the entire rack.

The outer tie rods feel solid, there's no play in them but I have new ones on the way just to be sure. It seems these may have been exactly what the click or two I heard. Which way does what? thanks for the help guys. And I'm assuming it's the one highlighted with the big green arrow correct?
