It was a bit tiresome to daily, but I took my AP1 to 9k every day for a year in '05 and absolutely loved it. I'd do it again, and stick with the late '03 2.0L cars (though I never drive a 2.2). 9k was that good, and you get the glass rear window and no clutch rattle.

Found this one looking at S2k autocross vids. At first you think "average autocross, maybe a bit tight" and then....

Now THATS an autocross course! Decent driver as well

Idk about you but bone stock means straight out of the factory settings.

That doesn't necessarily say anything. What tires were you on? What tires where they on? Novice drivers?

Looking at SCCA solo top times at nationals the STOCK class S2000's are within tenths of the top DSP cars including Alex Shchipkov's E30. Unless you are flared out running super wide softs, an S50 E30 is not going to be faster than a DSP car. And if you do...then of course you should be beating the average S2000.

Just saying, if you want the true potential a car, look a national times. I can say I beat a Lotus Elise a few weekends ago. But given equal tires and a good driver, that Elise SHOULD beat me.

i street raced a ferrari last week in my red ix last week.

i beeped and took off. since the ferrari disappeared slowly in my rear view mirror i know i won.

I beat a corvette once like that too. I revved my engine then took off. They started real slow and by that time I was gone, therefore my ix is faster than a corvette.

We were all on high performance street tires and everyone had a bit of experience. I'm not trying to generalize that s50 e30s are faster than s2ks. I was just stating what happened - I know there are many variables. The 5th s2k beat me by a couple of seconds. ;)

Yes indeed. I was pointing out that the 5th S2K kicked my ass.

So true. I got my ass handed to me by an integra in STS class. granted, he made 40 more hp to the wheels than I with r-comps and tein coils.... he was about 5 seconds faster, LOL. after riding with him, I realized why.

honestly, I don't think I ever caught his name. It was bumble bee yellow in color. roughly 2 years ago at Grissom base. Pretty nasty. don't know current status of the car but it was NA at the time.
