          the e30 m21 diesel was pretty popular in norway and some surrounding countries.


          edit: in north america they got used in lincoln too.

            edit: ford also used a 4cyl bmw diesel in rangers for a while.

              Yes, I know, I imported, and then subsequently sold a 324td touring on r3v.

              So, yes, I've rolled coal in an E30.

                      This 1991 Alpina B10 3.5/1 is one of 572 examples produced and was first delivered in November 1991 in Germany. It was imported to Canada in 2007 and acquired by the seller in 2010. The car is finished in BMW Individual Macaoblau Metallic over silver grey leather and is powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes an Alpina front spoiler, side skirts, and 17″ Alpina wheels in addition to a sunroof, xenon headlights, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic climate control, power windows and locks, an aftermarket alarm, and a Nakamichi CD stereo. This Alpina B10 has 226k kilometers (~140k miles).
