2.7 straight 6 motor
198,xxx k currently
Bf goodrich tires with xxr 531's 16x18 4x100
New thermostat
New Guibo
New Center support barring
Coolant flush
New spark plugs & wires
Battery relocated to the trunk
Hood comes up from the back
Wing windows in the rear

Interior is a 7-10 and the dash is compeltly crack free
Power windows
Sunroof works great!
New bt/aux stereo deck
Heater works great but the barring is a little loud

Exterior is a 8/10

Needs exhaust welded and could use a mild tune but still runs and drives! Cruise's at 80mph happily!

Looking to trade for Toyota, Crawler, Wheeler, Jeep, Subaru, 2.5 rs, Anything Awd or 4x4.

Even so, those 1.6s in A2 Golfs/Jettas are pretty decent engines even today. My Mom has kept her '86 Golf diesel since new, replaced the engine twice and put a huge number of miles on that car as a regular DD for 30 years. Not saying the rest of the car hasn't inevitably become a pile, but the engines aren't bad.

Not sure how an engine every ten years qualifies as reliable or good, unless she was putting an average of 30k/year on each one.
