I realized yesterday that last time my torque wrench was used it was set to 95 ft. lbs......and left that way for a few months!!!!! I assume its toast now. So pissed!

A "few" years back I was in a junkyard scrounging E30 parts in the middle of winter after a snowstorm. The E30 I spotted was stacked on top of two other cars. I climbed the ice and snow covered wobbling stack like it was Mt. Everest nearly falling several times but I eventually made it up and inside the es. I don't even remember what I got but do remember how stupid it was.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. -Mark Twain

Doing a coolant drain; Block drain plug was stuck; instead of grabbing some WD-40, and loosening it that way, I just decided to muscle it. 2 minutes later it gives. I was applying so much torque that when it finally gave, I fell forward and with full on football tackle force, headbutted my intake manifold.
Needless to say; I laid down and stayed there for a little bit....
Well.. A lottle bit really
Also went to the junkyard in epic downpour type rain (there were huge lakes in the ground) just to get a 13-button OBC wire harness. Got pneumonia the next day. Totally worth it

Trying to install a oil pressure gauge, dropped one of the fittings down into the area where the latch is. OK, no problem. I'll just unbolt the latch and move it out of the way. Did that, and upon attempting to retrieve the fitting, I knocked it down into the lower part of the core support.
There's no way out from the bottom without cutting, and it's copper. Off to the hardware store. No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.

I just never heard that... Seems online stories vary as well?
I use it quite often if that maybe makes a difference? Sometimes varying torque but I never unload it when I put it back... Maybe I should.

Glad to see this thread back to life!
Removed the driver's seat to make life a little easier while I was replacing my busted clutch petal bracket.
Went for a test drive, all good. Punched it coming off the line at a stop sign and ended up laying in the back seat staring at the headliner. Forgot to bolt the seat down (ex-girlfriend called right after I dropped the seat back in.)
Lucky thing I was on a wide, empty street and I was able to sit back up in time to grab the wheel before I ended up on someone's lawn :O
I miss the old BMW
