After changing all the orings on the injectors I spent 10 minutes cranking the motor and checking all the connections before realizing none of the spark plug wires were connected.

the dumbest thing i did was probably when i changed my tranny (for the 4th time) and i just got done putting everything back together started it up and saw oil pooring out from under it....... of course i started freaking out put it back on the lift and foun out that i proke the oil line for the guage.... searched ALL over the shop for 3 hours trying to find another crimp fitting to put a new one in. finally decided i didnt need an oil guage to drive home and decided to put a bolt in its place..... took another 2 hours to find on with the right thread pitch.... then forgot to stop at the gas station and ran out of gas on the interstate.

1. I was changing my rear diff and fluid. I drained the fluid and my father started rushing me to take my car off the lift. I forgot to refill diff and drove for 2 miles till diff locked up.
2. when i bought my second e30 i wanted to be more involved with the car. the 325i vert had a blown engine. junk yard said they had a 325e engine. he said it was a 2.7 engine. i knew the 325i had a 2.5 engine. well sh&t that should be easy. a 2.7 is bigger/faster than 2.5 engine. lolLast edited by GT BMW E30; 10-12-2011, 08:50 PM.

Changing front brake pads on a BBK takes less than three minutes, and since I was doing one side at a time, I didn't use a jackstand on the lifted wheel. I turned the key in the ignition (to unlock the steering wheel so that I could go full lock on the lifted wheel) one position too many and cranked the car, in gear, on the jack. Thank the good Lord that jack has casters or I would be one unhappy camper.I Timothy 2:1-2

I dislike working with jackstands and Ive had two mishaps with them. Always have a saftey (ie bottlecap) or another stand when possible.

Put the spark plugs in, one of them wasn't tightened all the way down but felt like it was cause the head was so dirty. Was driving in the car with this really hot chick and of course I think 'oh I'll accelerate REALLY hard and then she will take all of her clothes off!'. So I gun it and we hear this loud POP and a BANG. Open the hood and the fucking spark plug shot out of the head, exploded on the side of the road because it hit a guard rail, and tore my plug wires. Talked to a mechanic and he said he's never seen anything like it.
Replaced my sway bar and forgot to tighten my lug nuts. Went for a drive and was wondering why it was shuddering.. hehe
After converting to motronic 1.3 I couldn't get the car to start. I bought all new EVERYTHING and it wouldn't get fuel or spark. Spent several hours trying to figure out wtf was wrong. Had the CPS sensor and reference sensor backwards :|-Alex

Ford Lightnings were notorious for spitting plugs. Makes a good noise driving like that. Dumbest thing I have ever done working on a car...
Big Block 72 Camaro...hence my user name....pulles distributor out to replace oring....reinstalled wouldn't start.....5 hours later I realized it was in 180 out. Lots of little dumb stuff has happened though I just ignore it and go on...35cars most have been high performance you are going to have issues lol
