I like the idea, but I definitely dislike how much it resembles a tiburon... We'll see.

I was excited about the car till I saw how ugly they made both of them. This is the Subaru version

Why can't car company's make normal looking cars anymore?

            Maybe that's why it's lame :p

the Subaru version looks almost exactly the same - they didn't even bother to change the headlights? Even the badges look exactly the same. I guess they must be wanting to sell a lot of them, since the Toyota brand has better goodwill. It doesn't really make sense to me to release the same exact car under two different names. I didn't work for GM, why would it work for Toyota? At least there's a good chance of a badass turbo version from Subaru.

what about the scion frs version as seen at sema. I thought it looked pretty sweet in person. Is the US getting the FRS or a re badged FT86?

Why did they make the hood so high? I think I could almost live with the Toyota one if the hood was the same height as the side window.

They say the top of the engine is even with the top of the tire

Also, does anyone else see this resemblance?

the BRZ version is a little tamer. cleaner lines i think

                    still has hideous wheels though

the rear pic is very attractive

lol. seems like they are just grabbing design concepts from all over and using them here.

i'm still checking it once it's available.

I most hate the stupid side grill/ light that every car has nowadays, it really doesn't look good.

maybe its an actual functional vent? it looks like it could vent the engine bay.

in some cars that's a real vent that serves a real purpose. in my car it's closed off, but i can open it up and vent hot air from my brakes through it.

Leave it to e30 owners to nit pick about everything. I for one am happy that there is finally a cheap RWD car with good handling characteristics.

That's exactly what they were going for with this thing. In my opinion it will look great with some subtle modification, and after a year or so there will be a ton of aftermarket shit to make it legitimately fast. Light, low center of mass/roll center and compact dimensions mean it will likely handle like a dream.
