First off I was totally OK... I walked away somehow with an unbelievably little amount of damage. My upper back hurts a little bit (previous injury flaring up) but other than that it was a bruise on the knee and I walked away without going to the hospital.
What happened was me driving up Lake Hills Connector in Bellevue and turning left onto SE 8th st. It was 7:00PM at night and it was pouring rain and there was snow on the ground. I had a flashing yellow yield and saw no one coming. I was taking the left and BAM. It was done.
I don't really know how it happened at all... No one has been ticketed yet but it is going to be a difficult fight. I just talked to my insurance earlier and they stated that the impact appears to be a 50MPH+ collision. My car slid ~20 feet (two full lanes) from the impact.
Where the car was coming from (by car I mean suburban) was downhill and around a corner before going through the intersection. He did have right of way but if he was going 50mph (35mph speed zone, and look at the pictures... that is NOT a 35mph collision) I would have ~1 second from first view of him to impact. I plan to fight this but it is going to not be fun.
Most important part is I walked away with very very minimal damage. Paramedics were shocked that I was ok.
