If we include aftermarket, the E30 Luchjenbroers Sport Touring certainly should get some recognition. Only 6 made.

Probably chopped up by now, but this is an Alpina B6S 3.5 ''Number 63'' (Yes I know only 62 was ever built, but this was built by an Alpina mechanic with original Alpina parts, and had Alpina papers, and a detailed description of the build).
Previously owned by BMW's DTM driver Alexander Burgstaller.
Stolen in december from a shop here in Denmark, where it was in for maintenance (Hence the mention of it being chopped up by now).
Last known picture of it, and the thief.
I was hoping it would be found, but sadly I'm quite sure someone wanted that car for parts.Last edited by Der Ruffian; 02-10-2019, 09:32 AM.#ShenanigansE30 1989 Touring AC Schnitzer S3 replica http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=320784

The rear overhang on the e30 is too long for the proportions to look quite right with the deleted C pillar - BMW would have shortened the rear overhang & angle of the hatch for a factory 3 door - or added a black C pillar to break up the length of the rear side glass.
It's funny that looking at the '02 there, the real spiritual successor to the original touring is the e36 compact.

I don’t even know if that would help. The proportion of the windows is off and make that rear C pillar just look all kinds of weird.
Just because it’s rare, doesn’t mean it’s desirable.
