they just had one of these on Top Gear competing against an e36 m3 and a ford only available in europe. i think it one for some oddball reason even though it was slower than both the other cars
Why are you surprised it was slower than and e36 m3 and a sierra cosworth.....

not an odd ball reason. they have as much horsepower as a 325i.
race engines are a bit different than what came stock. i'd still rock the crap out of one if a nice one was for sale and i was looking for a car.
I've passed the compliments and remarks on to my friend. He would keep it but already has a stable of 5 cars plus he and I swap regularly.... so that makes 10. I have a lot of seat time in it and can vouch for how well it drives. It's the bargain E30 M3 that's currently off everyone's radar.
