It's going to be a really mildly textured bedliner.

I'd be interested in teh outcome. I actually considered doing my engine bay in bed liner. But Ryann brings up a good point. If it is hella porous it will accumulate lots of dirt.

I don't like black engine bays at all. If I had a black car, I'd probably paint the engine bay white.

It's nothing to do with the looks, it's all about the light reflectivity. I'd rather have an engine bay that you can clearly see everything, than one that hides everything and steals your light.

Why would you even consider spraying your engine bay with that god-aweful bedliner? If painting it the factory color is an option, then why the hell wouldn't you just do that?!

i like the idea, and it is unique.

it does not make sense so I wont go there.

I have seen cars entirely covered with bedliner. Its redneck fashion.

my last e30's bay was done in bedliner. looks really good on a dark car, i also really like janderson's. i will be doing it to my delphin car, but this time im gonna use upol raptor liner. i used this in my tj and it is far more durable then the spray can rustoleum/ duplicolor.
that being said, if i had a lighter colored car, especially alpine, the bay would be body colored.

hers's the best pic i could find of the old car, on this comp.

...........got to admit.....looks pretty killer....although Por 15 seems like a better choice, especially in silver on silver *[*tip!!! silver por 15 works excellent to fix curb rash on "german silver" rims...BBS etc!!!} car:pimp:

                      Bedliner, then alpine over it.

I'm all for the bedliner idea, Lambo nailed it, look at that engine bay with it's beautiful wrinkle black, it'd look clean in a white bay, but in a a bedliner black bay with a similar texture to the engine it is going to look mad.

I'm about to paint my 280Z's engine bay, it's white and I'm thinking instead of the usuall black I might go for a nice refined charcoal.
