    Anyone enjoying R3V?

    Sorry, accidentally deleted the post.

    In summation - there's too much shit and arguing and e-cock fights on here to be a respectable and enjoyable board. We need to start cleaning it up and making this a better place.

    Skafrog said it best - this is the last board he checks. It shouldn't be that way - we have the capabilities and the means to be one of the best e30 boards out there - and still have fun doing it.

    I have to add one thing, that everyone I have met from r3v in person has been extremely fun to hang out with (except Charlie :)). I imagine that it is the same for everyone on here.

          I think some of the current problems have derived from Matt unbanning everyone. Although Jordan banned people day and night, there were some that he banned for a good reason.

            I think lifting all previous bans was a mistake. You all can have your opinion of Jordan and how he ran the site, but there have been a lot more dumbasses posting lately - mostly new/freshly unbanned members.

            There has also just been a lot more traffic and new members in general, which I consider good. I like that the mods are simply deleting useless/belligerent posts quickly.

            Has anyone been permanently banned since the changeover?

            I also like the layout. It took a day or two to get used to it, but I'm on here so much that I don't even remember the old format. The added PM box space and ability to upload pictures to the site are greatly appreciated features.

            Not counting the inevitability of retards occasionally ruining threads, I really like how everything is going.

              When I need to know something urgent, this is the first place I will go. Even though there is a lot of r3v bickering, it is still composed of a lot of very knowlegeable guys.

              And as for people bashing each other's cars/taste, that's just the way it is. if you post a bunch of pics of your car in Members Rides, you can't only expect to hear good stuff about it. Personally, whenever I post pics of my car, I expect to get bashed. I don't cry about it though.

                I love what you and MR 325 have done taking over the board. Can you all imagine if it closed down? No you life would not be over! (well maby some of you post hores...might cry) - but all the info... all of it GONE...I saw it happen to e30sport and it sucked. Not pointing blam - but it sucked.

                With that said.

                ADMIN = babysitter

                Being a admin is not just dealing with the database, rights, folders, front-ends...You have a forum open that is open to the public.

                I believe in the "old school", hippie programer ethic. That of free information. Power of the community online, all the stuff that makes the internet great....Whatever...So let it be...BUTTTTTTTTT....

                The Jordan situation is going to rear it's ulgy head offten and heavy. I suspect you have tried to squlech it as much as possiable. But I believe you should let it run it's course.

                Why not? Let those that want to speak out do so - make a thead - hell make 10 threads. The fact is that this IS JORDANS FORUM UNTILL YOU DO SO.

                I've heard many stories about the guy, that he really, really, really helps out friends.(awesome quality) Even randon e30 guys passing by his way on a meet with car prolbems. I've hear that he bend over backwards to help another e30 guy out of a jam. But I've also see his online actions - as we all have. I don't need to go there, you all know - I don't need to comment on that, and I expect by not doing so means that this post wont be censored.(please?)

                This forum needs a enima..there is a lot of built up crap in it...for those of you that need to let it out...I say let them....

                If R3V is truly "new" - then it should become what the users what it to be.

                After all - a forum should not be defined by it's admins....But be defined by it users....

                        Maybe we all just need to unite against a common enemy, like french cars.

                        I honestly find a lot of the bickering and idiocy humorous, but yeah, we need more good stuff to balance it out.

                          I think our mods need to be tougher on thread locking and/or deleting. We have far too many post that have titles like "i know the rules but you gotta see this" and things like that. I think those threads should be deleted and the poster should be pmed so we don't get the "wtf where is my thread posts". I also really like how much of a nazi matt is on the fs thread prices (great job matt). Really there is too much flaming going on. I think there is more need for banning of those that seem to be in it all the time. There should be a warning and if it continues the member should be banned. R3V is going through big changes with the passing to new admins, it will take time, but be better in the end.
