Has anyone asked the moderators if they would create a Touring section, like they did for the Cabrios? Time might be right, since Tourings are continuing to migrate into the USA.

In the meantime, I hope asking questions here will reach the most with Touring knowledge.

    1. Has anyone redone a Touring headliner? Is it just a sewn piece of material with the metal rods, like in a sedan or coupe, or does it have some form like a newer BMW headliner.

    2. I'm assuming the rear side windows need to come out in order to remove the headliner. If that's the case, does anyone have any instructions/hints on removing the exterior trim and windows?

    Thanks, Cory

Thanks. I saw the same thing (what looked like a board behind the fabric) near the rear hatch. Wonder if anyone's removed the rear side windows. Don't want to break any NLA trim!

Here is a link to a Touring-specific question I posted in another section. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought mine 3 years ago. Pretty much stock, just LOTS of new parts. 220,000km.

                Last winter on Lake Simcoe

                Car Camping this past summer

The only thing I know that is specific to this car is the vented rear discs, which I had to convert to standard because i couldn't find the ventilated anywhere.

Hoping to do a 5500 km trip down to New Orleans this Christmas break in it.

Thanks, I basically use it for road trips and driving it to my parents house to work on it. I ride my bike to work, so I look forward to anytime I can use it!

Seems that a touring section would be quite useful for the few of us around here.

I'm here in the headliner boat as well, not really sure what to do about it yet. I have some sunroof issues to contend with and the headliner is a big question mark for me.

There is a great DIY for removing a Touring headliner posted on the e30owners.com forum.
