    Summer plans. Thoughts?

Here's what I have planned for the summer:

    New clutch
    Oring block (probably)
    Head gasket change
    Megasquirt pnp
    Timing belt
    More boost

For all of you guys who have done that ^ I know you can keep the engine/tranny in the car, but would it be easier to pull the engine/tranny and replace things on an engine stand? I already have a cherry picker and an engine stand. Just looking for the easiest way to do all that. If I pull it I can clean up the block and what not, that would be a plus. It could use a good cleaning.

Keep engine and tranny in car, or pull both?

    Thanks guys ;)

I would pull it just to clean everything and it would also make the work easier.

Pull it. It isnt a whole lot more on top of the head coming off, and you wont be crouched over.

Leave it in, the hours spent removing and installing could be put towards all the work you have listed.

Pulling it would be a plus. The extra work will pay off if you're looking to clean everything and look good once its all back in the car.

Pull it, much easier to get to everything on the block and route coolant and wiring. I would invest in the m3 wire cover and bay shave to be extra ballin :)

I'd pull the engine. Heck I pull the engine & transmission just to change a clutch. If you know what you are doing and have the right stuff and engine/trans pull or install can be done in a bit under three hours.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
