Apparently I'm the only one who is surrounded by ricers that don't want to race? Conditions would have to be right, but I'd love to occasionally leave some of them saying "WTF?"

My vanos eats vtec for breakfast lol.

But seriously, all I get is hondas and old nissans trying to race me. I don't fuck around in town, but I might give them a punch to 40-50mph just to make a point.

    Well said:

Besides, how much skill does it take to out accelerate someone
else driving on the freeway? Let's see, pull next to him, mash the gas,
stay in the lane. Really tricky there. Oh, I left out the part about spending
$18,000 on mods like a CF hood and 12" subwoofers. That takes years
    of practice.

If you want to challenge me, at least do it on a winding road.

If you want me to race you, invite me to your car club's autocross
    or rallycross.

Sure, I love doing donuts in a vacant field as much as anyone, but
if I want to know where my skills stack up against other drivers,
I'll do it at a real race - or other event (like drift or TSD)
One of the best posts I've ever read on here, I agree with everything said. If there were more people who thought like this, the motoring community would be a much better place.

I have a bone stock 91' 318i as well, but with coilovers, some old retro wheels, and euro bits, nothing really that stands out if you do a quick glance. Ricer Hondas seem to want to mess with me. I usually just flip them off and change lanes. Even if I were to race them I doubt I would win. I have to down shift to 4th if the AC is on going up a hill on the highway. lol

Do phones count as well? :P

They think their rocket can, can make them fly to the moon or in other words more HP

This is what happens when they race too much

Either way, i used to challenge them and take em out with my eta, now its just pointless and stupid, why? because of what he said

ive had 3 integras with mexican kids in them try to race me, beat the first one twice, and i was alone he had 2 buddies, which is why he lost. "too many heads" the other i missed second and still pulled on him and the other sounded like a two stroke and he pulled out of the drive through and looked at me and hit his rev limiter in 1st. but not that i hate all hondas. my buddy in school had a fully built honda that beat all kinds of evos and fun stuff. but yes hondas always try to race

Secretly I think many* Honda owners aspire to own something better, and getting embarrassed by older, less expensive cars confirms their suspicion that they should upgrade to something better. For instance:
*There are plenty of good Honda guys/gals out there, we all know who I am really talking about.

Some kid in a slightly ricey 92 Accord tried to race my Subaru on Friday, I just shook my head and laughed, when I looked over to give him a thumbs down I saw what appeared to be two 12 year olds

To be fair though my Subaru does have a 3" exhaust. For the most part though people around here seem to have given up on racing, instead of every week or two, I now get one person every 6 months or so trying to race.

I was being harassed by a pitiful 4gen Honda Prelude the other night. This tool took the cake; high beamed me like a mad man, tailgates me, cut me off, sped up and slowed down quickly. Guy was being a real douche.. So took his challenge.

10 seconds later He was a good 5 cars behind me, and I wanted to roll my window down beside him and tell my car was an automatic... On stock suspension... With a 3.73LSD.. And to let him know his exhaust mounted Turbo noise imposter doesnt add MOAR horsepower..

GAWSH his car is freakin ugly..
