I just watched my mpg-o-meter in relation to gears, rpms, and speed to see where my optimum power band is. Don't go for the least amount of rpms, try to stay where your car's engine is running most efficiently except when on highways. Air up your tires, keep stock wheels, prevent any obstructions aerodynamically, AC on instead of windows down at high speeds, keep up on maintenance. That's all you can do. All of it is in your driving.Originally posted by Wh33lhopThis is r3v. Check your vaginal sand at the door.

I lost around 1mpg switching from a 3.73 to a 4.27 rear end with sticky tires. Average 21 mpg overall - which includes letting the M20 sing Italian style often (keeps the carbon out).

just look at the mpg meter, you'll see it pegged at 0 when your in gear and coasting. As soon as it goes into neutral, you'll see it go up/If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!
