    the e30 curse

from what ive seen on R3v in the lat few years. it has seemed to b that the e30 it almost cursed. it seems like almost everyone has totalled their first e30.

i totally my first in august on last year. and 2 of friends did the same.

and a couple people the year before that.

and i always see a "e30 vs truck" or "bye bye e30" thread atleast once every couple weeks.

so i was curious of other people that may have crashed their first e30.

or does anyone still have their first e30? and how long have u had it?

I still have my first one. I have had it since '07 I think. Then I just got another one in Nov. last year. MY first has spun me around a few times, but no major crashes.

Was driving on a wet back road where a curve got increasingly sharper, back end slid out and went into a yard and giant bush. Did some pretty good damage to the fender, and a dent in the door from knocking down a lamp post, but drove the car like that for another ~3 months and sold it as is for 50 bucks more than I bought it for. If it was nice I would have been pissed, but it was a $750 POS beater that had already been torn to shit so I didn't care too much.

I havent crashed mine yet, first e30 and first car. Maybe you all just suck at driving/ don't know how to take it easy.

I've been in a minor (3mph) fender bender in the E30, and almost got in another yesterday, but I've never come close to any kind of accident in my DD. My E30 has been in 3 other accidents as well :/

Christmas Eve will mark 1 year for me and Ulga (don't ask), no issues yet.

However, we recently sold a Vert to a guy for his wife. She was on her way to bring it in for us to replace some light bulbs, and on the way she spun around and smacked the RR wheel off a curb. I just looked at it today, wheel and control arm are trashed, and creased the quarter panel.

They had it for about a month.

Been 8 months now; I have r3ved my first e30, but haven't totalled it (knock on wood).

I spun it out trying to drift a 4.10 open with an auto slushbox and destroyed my rear end much like member above me described; destroyed my axle, diff, wheel, trailing arm, and subframe. Shoot; I think I wrote something about it in my build thread and should still have pictures. Only body damage sustained was my spare wheel well (from the muffler going awol and attacking it when the impact happened) and front valence.

Valence replaced; damaged parts of the suspension replaced. Baby drives like a dream

Did like a 90 deg slide within the first few months of getting mine. The rear just got out of shape and there was nothing I could do to stop it. There were worn all seasons on it though and it was wet. I have 235 section Toyo R1Rs on it now and the rear still got out of shape on the way back from work last week. It was raining and it was a bumpy farm road, going about 40 mph, saved it this time unlike the first.
