I'd trade mine for a comparable 911 but it would have to be a cabriolet. Only solid top Porsche I would have is the 928GT or S4. Although the more I drive a Porsche, the more meh they seem. Although the new Panamera is a great driving car.
What kind of engine swaps can be done on those ol' 911's? 8)

I bought my 318i in '99 and kept it through a string of very nice cars including this '04 911 (996). The car was amazing to drive, required nothing but an oil change every 15k, $100/mo in tires (rears were good for 8-10k and costs $660\pr at the time), made me claustrophobic & had me wondering why people were staring at me..until I realized it was the car, not me
The 911 is gone but I still have the 318i....and 3 other e30's.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

I would rather offload both and buy a really nice clean E30 M3. The 911 is great and all but it is just a sports car. The M3 has more room and SO much better looking IMO.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

cheap E28 M5, cheap E30 M3 and cheap E34 M5.... they all will cost you about 15 to 20k to get a proper one running and driving like it should.
Oh, and experience with pulling motors for maintenance would be a plus too.sigpic

Stay away from late 70's 911's unless they are swapped with with a later motronic 3.2 engine. The late 70's cars have "thermal-reactors" which are emissions garbage preheaters for the heads. They use exhaust heat to warm them up and leak and can cause overheating issues in hotter climates. Look for an early 80's 911sc, you will be much happier.seien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen
