Yes, as Nsquared said, we get snow. You can do it fine with All seasons, they work. But you need to go slower. Winter tires make all the difference in the world.

Nope. The tires have holes ready to go for them, but MI doesn't allow them. And unless I went ice racing, I never saw any need for them. The only problem I had with my car in the snow was that it just begs you to play with it.

snow tires are cheap. $400 vs totaling your car. and you can use the same set for 5+ years.

^ Done it, doesn't work on ice lol! Seriously, snow tires are a day and night difference over all seasons! And the Firestones are cheap as fuck! Check the reviews, you'll be surprised! The predictability in the snow is amazing, although dry road driving can be quite scary if you are traveling at a high speed 70+mph.

I am used to driving my '93 Toyota pickup in the snow... light back end, bald all-seasons, and an open diff. It's not that big of a deal... it just takes a little patience.
