This. I run 93 in all the Bimmers. Klaus has a TMS/Conforti chip.

93 or 94 if I can find in the E30 since it's chipped. Usually fill the E34 with 93 but if I'm doing all highway, I fill with 89.

91oct, MarkD chip, & 17# injectors. I get better gas mileage than stock on 87 so I figure its worth the cost. Also, M20 POWA!

89 from BP or Shell, exxon if im running low on gas. Both are stock 325i chips in an 89 vert and 91 coupe. i believe that the manual calls for 91, but i can't get that around here and dont want to pay for 93 octane.

i really would like to find a place around rva that doesnt add 10% ethanol to the gas. It should give slightly better fuel economy than mixed stuff.

89 from Petro Canada on my stock ECU for 1991 318i. Seems to have been working fine.

I thought I read that M20s were designed for 89 so that's what I use...

93 Shell. What's a couple more bucks when your already spending $45.

91 top tier in all my cars chipped, built and stock. I get better mileage to offset the price difference. Once you pull a motor and spend hours cleaning carbon deposits you will start going to chevron.

It amazes me that people will try to save pennies on their gas when their cars specify 91-93 while risking thousands of dollars in engine damage. Especially in factory turboed cars.

Polls like this are hard for those that have 1+ E30s. Chipped M50 91, Stock M20 87. I voted for the one that I drive the most.

You should be running 87 or 89 for stock e30 engines. If you're ECU/chip isn't stock then you should be running whatever octane it's tuned for. It's as simple as that.
