I am going to get it out of the way before someone else does: LS1 for the win :D

          Very nice car though.

The guy I bought my 318 off of is doing the same swap. Sounds fucking nuts. Must be orgasmic on the highway.

That's cool. Would love to see more pictures of it, or video.

I've always wondered how an e30s feels with such a big, powerful engine in the front, as far as balance, etc. I know I would like the six speed.

I wonder how the ground clearance is, it seems like they had to lower the engine position to make up for how tall and straight up they mounted the engine.

edit: that engine makes that puny lookin strut bar look even punier.

they have a lot more pics at akgmotorsports website. Pretty clean car. That was my original plan with the e30 about a year ago, I just figured a boosted M30 would be a far less custom, easier swap, and in the end have the ability to put out a lot more power. Oh and with all the turbo goodies end up costing less.. there are a handful of e30's with the m62, you can see most by searching our board from past postings

for a straight line maybe...that would suck around anything that even looked like a corner

screw you man....I prefer to have a light car that is fun in the corners over a car that has HUGE hp and is nose heavy.

                              handling>HUGE hp

I do think kinda cool but dumb....its gonna be easy to r3v a unbalanced car like that.
Just because I think its stupid to do that for anything but drag racing does not make me inexperienced in the least.
