Yup. Runs fine, still has good compression, starts right up, little down on power, and blows a little smoke. I'll be fixing it in the coming weeks. I'm shooting to have the car done by July.
Last year converted my A/C to R134 and replaced damn near every part except the lines. even got a parallel flow condenser (didn't even know I ordered that). Driving 20000 miles a year with it..I sure as hell need it.
Evacuate R12 (unless empty) Empty out mineral oil from lines, compressor, condenser, evaporator flushing with solvent. Fill system with ester oil. Replace all O-rings with R-134a compatible ones. reassemble (with new drier and R134a expansion valve if you like) pull a vacuum, refill with R134a, ENJOY.
This was me, plus broken window regulators! YAY for 115 degree days in Texas! Never been so miserable in my life. AC was fixed before anything else on my E30.
