The details make that car seem sketchy as.

Hes hinting something's wrong with it.
But still 11k is a bargain whether or not

The need to pay things like rent, children, debt, etc can drive some people to get rid of their precious things asap for cheap. Worth a look for someone in the market for an M3.

Autocheck scores it a 7 which is the lowest I have seen. Water damage in NJ, salvaged, reconstructed/rebuilt in the late 90's, then front end collision in 2008...perhaps the real reason the front end was resprayed. Pretty rough life.

^^Yikes I would be really afraid of water damage on a car like that.

seriously, why not at this point? if you're going to make a track car, nearly all of the water damaged bits will get ripped out as you fabricate the cage/wire in CCR-approved safety features anyway.

go in with that carfax, get a PPI to check alignment and pull trim for rust.. i bet it could be had for sub-$10K depending on the condition of the engine/drivetrain.

If it's salt water you're never going to get all of it out of the chassis
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

An acid dip and some media blasting will take care of anything. Then recoat and rebuild. Save it!

I hate the words "track rat." Save that for beat to **** cars with swapped m50s.

11 grand is a lot for something only worth as a track car.
