    Crazy BBS Story

So this morning I received a phone call from my dad saying that someone stole the BBS out of my backyard, I freaked out.

I have my almost completely refinished set of RS003's in the garage and I thought it was those.

But, it turned out to be a set of RS008's we recently picked up and planned on refinishing to put on my Dad's e30. He called the police and filed a police report. Then, I started calling a local tire mounting places and my dad started swinging by the metal recyclers/scrapyards in case someone decides to scrap them as we weren't sure if they knew what they stole. On top of that I posted on Facebook and texted all my local "car guys" to keep an eye out. We got a few tips and leads but nothing solid. At about 12pm or so I get a call from my dad saying one of the metal scrap yards just had someone come in with what seems to be the wheels. They held them until the police showed up and we got the wheels back.

So remember when something is stolen think outside the box and don't put anything past a thief.

    Cliffs:
    2-5 am Wheels stolen
7-9 am Called tire shops/ scrapyards
    11 am Phone call received
12 pm wheels verified and given back to us

As far as I know they will be prosecuted for theft of items matching or exceeding $1,000 under VA Law unless their story checks out and they will only be accomplices.

That's my dad. I'm guessing someone tipped them off about the wheels and they tried to scrap them to get rid of them. (I know their value so I would never lol)

Probably took them thinking they'd fit their vehicle and when they didn't figured dump the evidence, congrats you got them back.
