Hey guys! It's me, the owner of the 1985 Subaru GL.

Let me introduce myself,

Hi, my name's Zach, I'm 19 years old

A few things about myself, I've been a Subaru mechanic for 2 years, I'm a huge fan of built not bought and that applies to my 1998 Subaru Legacy 2005 LGT (sti motor) Motor swap. Yes, I am trolling Stanceworks because the users on their - example: rice4life are not true car enthusiasts and most of them are what we call "GOOGLERS" My Definition of a googler in the car world: Someone who has never held a piston in their hands, has no real experience working on cars, and spends their time hour after hour just researching on google and whatever forum it leads too just so they can prove to their friends that they know where the alternator is located on their vehicle. Also, I don't believe that SLAMMING your car is all you have to do to fit in...no, Function over form - although form is nice and asthetically pleasing..I still believe in taking my car on a race/rally track...hard parking is not that cool. So yes, I'm trollin a little bit on that forum.

My '85 GL was a daily I purchased about a month ago.
Super cheap car that I don't care much about, I've owned a few of these already and have even done a reseal jobs on quite a few of these at the shop I use to work at and out of my house. Craigslist is swarming with these in my area, so I didn't ruin a "rare" model Subaru.

This car, this project, is a joke, it's made to be laughed at, it's made to be enjoyed.
I don't think I'm being amazingly unique and that I should win an award in the car community and that I should gain respect for being different. This project just happens to be unique - I'm the only guy who came up with the dumb idea and decided to follow through.

I'm havin a blast doing it, I think it's hilarious, I think it's awesome, a lot of my friends love it and love the haters fan club I've built. It's fun to play with cars - I think sometimes people take things WAY too seriously and need to just enjoy things.

I can understand why I could get under your skin if I was an E30 fan boy who literally thinks this project is f'ing cool and wants to be internet famous, but that's not me. I'm a genuinely smart, normal, car loving guy who just happens to have some extra time.

I hope I've changed your perspective on a few things, I'll leave it at that.
