For one: Why modify a Car? that's just fuckin stupid. I say you buy it, leave it how it is, maybe add some stickers or air fresheners, then just leave it. I mean money is money. and if you put money into a car you've essentially used money. That's not good. So don't touch cars, LEAVE THEM!

If this guy is so stupid, so be it. But I feel as if dedicating 8 pages of comments which are direct hate towards one person who created a thread on a completely different database is, for lack of a better word, ignorant.
I'm just a guy here. As all of you. Maybe consider what I say. I mean, you probably won't and now i'll receive a vast majority of hate as well. But life goes on. I dunno why you and the GL-30 guy are making such an effort to justify this, if it's really just a for-the-fuck-of-it type thing. I would summarize this thread as:
Me: Hey - check out this bizarre (and dumb, in my mind) semi-e30 related thread that I stumbled upon.
R3v: Yeah that is bizarre and kinda dumb.
End.
Followed by everyone generally moving on with their lives until the recent thread resurrection.
Now me, personally, I still just don't get it. Ok - it's for shit and giggles, but can't it be for shits and giggles and also be good? Unique isn't a justification in mind. I don't care how many people have done the same thing, or whether it required a lot of craftsmanship/fabrication, I'm just going to judge it on merit. I do hope he finishes it, because I'll be curious to see how it looks.
Let's say he does a really seamless and excellent job, which I expect he will. I'm just not convinced that the end result of a GL with Bimmer parts expertly grafted on is something worthwhile. If he is, then great. Enjoy your car, man. The rest of the world doesn't have to agree.
