Florida and stolen M3's have a long history of Title washing...Best of luck but why did you wait so long between contacts? Skype and Voxxer worker world wide.
6 months? six months? Half a year? 182 days? Can't get a hold of him? No longer in business? A guy you barely knew? E30 M3? You dont even know the guys name/address/etc?
There is nothing rational about this situation man, I can see you're trying to rationalize your way into getting your car back, hoping this guy has been kind enough to safe keep your car while he hasn't been able to pay his phone bill or lease. How do you know he didn't sell your M3 as collateral to pay said debts and then couldn't come up with the money to get your M3 back?
Get on the phone with the police now, the police can get the leasers information immediately, get his name/address and pay him a visit.

That cars long gone. Sorry dude. You should know better than to leave it with a storage unit guy you barely know. Shit look at VLAD, and be was so called "reputable." After a week of no response you should have been on the phone with police. Especially in fucking Tampa.
If it was a regular storage unit and he couldn't pay his bills no doubt the storage unit owners locked up his unit sent out registered mail and will eventually auction off the contents of the unit as it becomes theirs if the renter doesn't pay the bill. Your car has been sold.

Very Good point. I really feel bad for OP. Bet the person who bought the unit out is feeling pretty good by now!
Seriously though OP, you should really rethink the way you oproach things. ~$20k collectible car and you just let it out of your sight for 6 months?!

I really hope that's not the case for the OP's sake. Hope you get it sorted out!
"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
Report it stolen and say you think it's been taken to that storage unit at that location.
You're not lying since you haven't seen it and last you heard it may be hidden there.
