Josh wasn't responsible for TO'ing him. And we'd just ban him, but then rThor wouldn't be able to send him PMs. This makes it possible to resolve that issue.

sounds like Curt fucked someone, then he got fucked and throws a hissy fit on facebook. I moved into a house and still had time to pay bills. Smooth one

As for legal action, there is a ton involved with that. Being an Internet transaction with no contract makes it tough. It would cost me more out of pocket to have a crack at getting my money back.
Take him to small claims court, it's something like $50 to bring a suit, print off all the records of your conversations, the money changing hands, have pictures of similar items to the one you were attempting to buy etc.

In small claims neither of you can have representation (lawyer) so there are no external costs really. Even just threatening legal action a lot of times gets the ball rolling. Some people rather not stir things up by going the legal route, but money is money, if he's not gonna man up and go through with his end of the deal, then so be it, sue him.

Also you dont need a contract to have a deal. You relied on his promise to exchange money for parts, that is enough.

So Much Rage, Scammed or not wishing someone to lose their shit indefinitely is horrible. Wish some people had common sense, hopefully Curt gets his car back and makes some sense and ships rThor his shit.

IDC what anybody says, IDC the scale of the situation in comparison to the wheels, he took someones money, karma bit him in the ass. Nice try.

Looks like it still took him 3 years to get that quote.

Also, REFUND is always an option if you can't agree on shipping.

Hot shit. Dancing bananas and all, the drama keeps building. No excuse for acting like a bitch on Facebook.

And if the wheels were in the front of the storage unit there's the very real possibly they disappeared with the car.

at some point on the last 3 years Curt had to have decided he wasnt going to deal with it anymore... sucks for both parties. personally Id like to see rThor get his parts and the car to magically reappear. sadly I only see one of those two actually happening

What I don't understand is why he is keeping everything. He has this guys 1000 dollars and the items to return why not deduct shipping cost from the 1000 he has and get it over with after ~3 years? Hell I would have done it within the first year than have his stuff cluttering up a garage. or am I missing something where the 1k shouldn't be factored in?

This "small explanation" strikes me as a lame excuse. If Curt wanted to explain, didn't he have ample time to respond before being timed out?

Still hoping Curt and Thor get what's rightfully theirs.

I can't post on Facebook, not a member of that group, but for the record the $100 was my estimate needed to cover the shipping charges, having shipped 2 sets of trailing arms/brakes and the cost being slightly more myself ($110-120ish). Part of the initial deal. I told him once he got a shipping quote I would send the money to cover it. I sent the money and wheels in the first place so that he'd know I was good for the rest of the transaction. I don't think I was going to skimp out on $100 (or more) after sending that much out. And I didn't plan to.

As for him saying that I told him the quotes were too high, I never said that I wouldn't pay the prices he was quoted. I only stated that I had shipped parts cheaper. We discussed Greyhound as the most finalized option. I can't remember the cost, but I was supposed to have to pay whatever it was once the parts arrived at the Greyhound facility here. Then the shipping would (still) be all on me. That sounded perfect to me-- he was going to strap the parts on a pallet, load it on a truck, and I'd cover the rest of the deal once they were here in NC.

After the Jan. 9 2013 text stating that he would cover the cost if they weren't shipped out the following week, I just kept quiet about shipping to see if he'd do it. I had the full intention to pay him and cover the cost as that was part of the initial deal (I wouldn't go back on that), but I wanted to see if he was serious this time and would stick to his word. He hasn't so far.

Never meant to start all of the drama. I just want to close this deal. That's all.
