This thread makes me legitimately sad. I really hope you find it.
I would be questioning everyone you brought by the storage unit. As well as anyone they talk to. Your friend could have told his friend. Who in turn told his friend, and I've met that guy. He's a scumbag.
Good Luck.Comment

The fact that it was seen on a flat bed being towed really makes me doubt that I will see it again, and likely not whole if even that.sigpicComment

I wonder how this can be put in the local media. If it was put on a flat bed, chances are that my people who are car enthusiasts may have noticed the e30 and maybe noted or can remember the name on the truck carrying it. Most flatbeds being business vehicles they have names and #s posted on them.Comment

I hate to add this, but with everyone talking about karma getting someone.. I've been out $1k in cash and wheels that I sent Curt as part of a trade over 3 years ago. Communication was spotty for a while, but I haven't heard from him in 3 months. I tried being cool about it and basically gave up chalking it up to 'a lesson learned'. Reference this feedback thread, my issue started on page 6--- http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...tervelt&page=6
E-mail I sent yesterday (no response..):
'I saw your thread and wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear about your car. I hope that you find it and are able to get everything back-- hopefully unique parts like the bronze glass etc are pretty easy to catch when someone attempts to sell them.
I'm sure it's a bad time, but I want you to know that you are feeling the same way I've felt for 3+ years now. Like someone took my money and parts and I am now left powerless in the matter. Sure it's a different scale, but I worked hard for the money and to pay for the wheels I sent with no return in sight. I hope that you will make it right.
Sorry to bring it up at this time, but I'm just putting it out there. Sucks to be on the short end of the stick.
Good luck,
Ryan Thor'
I never wished anything bad on anyone and losing your car and all of the time and rare parts is terrible. I'm not posting to be a dick, just saying that it looks like the karma everyone is talking about may be in effect and it sucks being on the receiving end.
I still wish Curt good luck with getting his car back. I also hope that one day he will make the situation between us right.Comment
