You guys need to think $$$$$$ not history of the marque. BMW is a business and even at M-branch they care about the bottom line. Bigger, faster, and more gadgety sells. Apealling to purist fanboys doesn't. Never will.

I kinda like it, but it looks like it had potential to be a smaller car by looking at the front bumper but then it just keeps growing in to what appears to be quite a fat ass, judging from that 1 picture..

It does not scream performance, looks like every other BMW/Euro car maker.

e30-e90-e46 are my favorite M3, e36 is ugly IMHO.

I don't like.. looks like an S5's retarded cousin. Could use meatier tires all around and possibly more low to improve its profile but imho it just looks like a piggy.

I'm in for one. Hopefully the allocations won't be as limited as they were when the first e9x M3's came out. I'm sure it will be though. :-(

Alpine white with a Red interior (Sakhir orange likely as that's what's available on the current M's), 6Spd, Technology Package, and the M adaptive suspension would be on my wish list.

As for the M4, I am really curious to see what sales are like in China, and to the Chinese market particularly.

I'd totally do it. M3 rebadging. I wonder if the side gills will be badged as M4 or just //M.
